Lesson 1 - Computer Fundamentals
This lesson discusses each individual component found inside a computer so that you can familiarise yourself with a modern system and make informed decisions as to the configuration required for a computer that you may want to attach to a network.

Lesson 3 - Peer to Peer Networking - Advanced
Topics include:-:
Connecting a modem - 56K, ADSL and Cable
Setting up a network with Window 98 (for older systems)
Wireless networks
Setting up a wireless network via Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7
Creating and disabling a bridge connection
VLAN's, port trunking, and network statistics
Installing a network card into a computer
Making a CAT5 network cable
Installing an RJ45 wall point

Note that it would be an advantage (although not essential) if you had two computers that you can install a network on to.
You will be shown how to set up a dual boot computer during the course.
Two working computers will be essential in order to carry out the practical work, and obtain the accredited certificate.
