A sixteen lesson course comprising eight units from the Information Technology Training Package (ICA05)
Please note that correspondence courses are available in all states and overseas.
$425 for sixteen lessons (payable in three installments).
This fee includes course manuals, certificate, and a licenced copy of
either Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista Business, or Windows 7 Professional
(note that there is no extra charge for overseas students).
General Information
If you reside outside Victoria and are applying to Centrelink for the Pensioner Education Supplement,
please ensure that you tell the staff at Centrelink that the course has Victorian approval.

This course combines the "Learn to Repair, Upgrade & Build Personal Computers and Laptops" course with the first
four lessons of the "Networking for Home and Business" course. It includes the course notes for the first four
networking lessons, but does not include the Server 2003 component, or the Server 2003 CD disk.
Students that successfully complete this course will be eligible for credits with respect to TAFE courses in the
Information Technology Training Package that include one or more of the units shown above. Click Here for relevant

The correspondence course consists of sixteen lessons, each lesson provides a course manual of approximately seventy pages, followed by a twenty question assignment.
The course manuals are updated every week to provide you with the very latest information. Manuals are only printed as required - we do not keep stocks of outdated course material. |

Students that obtain an average mark of eighty percent over all sixteen assignments, and complete the optional
practical work, will receive a nationally accredited certificate.
This certificate is issued on behalf of the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority and bears the "Nationally Recognised"
logo, meaning that it is recognised within all states in Australia and participating countries (if you reside outside of Australia,
check with your local Education Authority to confirm that this certificate is recognised).
Students that obtain an average of 80 percent over all sixteen assignments and do not complete the optional
practical work will receive a Vision Fix Certificate.
Course Cost
The cost for the correspondence course is $425 payable in three installments as under :-
$225 upon enrolment
$100 upon submission of the sixth lesson
$100 upon submission of the eleventh lesson
You can also pay in one installment of $400 and receive a $25 discount.
Fees can be paid by printing out the Enrolment Form (see relevant button on the menu bar) and faxing or posting along
with payment, or you can enroll over the telephone via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard and Amex).
Note that at any stage if you decide not to continue with the course, no further payments are required.
Please note that this fee includes all of the course manuals, certificate, and the Windows CD disk.
How the course works
The following points give you information on the course structure :-
Upon enrolment you will receive lessons 1 to 5 of the course manuals and the Windows CD disk.
Your assignments can be sent via email, or can be faxed or posted.
There is no time limit for each lesson - you work at your own pace. We will continue to maintain your enrolment until you finish the course.
Once you have submitted lesson number three, we will then send you lesson books 6 to 10 so that you never run out of lessons to work on.
In the front of the lesson six manual, you will find the invoice for the second payment, but this is not payable until you actually submit lesson six.
Once you submit lesson seven, we will send you lesson books 11 to 16 and again you will find an invoice for the final payment in the front of book eleven. This invoice is not payable until you submit lesson number eleven..
On completion of lesson number eight, you will have the opportunity to complete the first of a two part practical exercise, which will be required in order to obtain the accredited certificate.
On completion of lesson number sixteen, you will have the opportunity to complete the second of a two part practical exercise, which will be required in order to obtain the accredited certificate.
On successful completion of all sixteen lessons, we will then send your certificate within seven days.
Please note that in order to complete the practical exercises, you will need access to a working computer that you are
able to partially dismantle, and for the networking component, you will need to have access to two working computers (no
dismantling required).
